Kitchen Cabinet & Wardrobe Painting

A fresh, durable finish for kitchen cabinets, fitted wardrobes and MDF units, without replacing them, for homes across Watford, Hertfordshire and North West London.

Cabinet & wardrobe painting

A new look for the units you already have

If your kitchen cabinets or fitted wardrobes are solid but tired or dated, painting them can change the whole room without ripping anything out. The finish depends on the preparation, so every surface is cleaned, sanded, primed and undercoated before the top coats. In a Stanmore flat the kitchen cabinets were painted grey in a satin finish instead of being replaced, in a Pinner bedroom dated fitted wardrobes were sanded and painted green, and in a Bushey home new MDF wardrobes in the bedroom and on the landing were painted and finished.

We paint and finish fitted furniture; we don’t build or install it. If you’re having new units fitted, we can paint them once they’re in.

What our customers say

TTim BadhamGoogle review · Aug 2026★★★★★

Nelson (and Leo) did a brilliant job with decorating our whole house. We had a different colour in almost every room as well as doors varnished, windows, skirting-boards and some fitted wardrobes repainted, as well as wooden kitchen top sanded down and retreated. Everything was done to a very high standard and they worked really hard to get it finished in good time (particularly in the heat). Nelson also helped with some of the colour suggestions. All good value you too. I couldn’t recommend them more the indoor decorating. May get them to come back and paint the outside too.

Is it worth painting kitchen cabinets?

If the units are solid and in good condition, painting can give the kitchen a new look without replacing them, as in this Stanmore flat. If doors are damaged or the units are failing, we’ll tell you honestly when we see them.

Can you paint MDF and fitted wardrobes?

Yes. New MDF is primed before painting, and older wardrobes are cleaned and sanded first. In Bushey we painted new MDF wardrobes, and in Pinner we sanded and repainted dated fitted wardrobes in green.

Do you build or fit wardrobes and kitchens?

No. We paint and finish fitted furniture; we don’t build or install it. If you’re having new units fitted, we can paint them once they’re in.

What finish do you use?

A satin finish is popular for cabinets, as on the kitchen in Stanmore, but we can use the finish and colour you prefer. We’ll talk it through with you before we start.

Can you quote from photos?

Yes. Photos or videos can often help us give you an initial estimate. For larger or more detailed jobs, we may arrange a visit before providing the final quote.
